1. Who we are
Yey is a SaaS platform for construction workforce management, operated by Yey Lda. (Portugal). Our contact is privacy@yeydigital.eu.
2. What data we collect
We collect data you provide when creating an account (name, email, company info) and worker profile data entered by your organization (name, nationality, date of birth, documents). We also collect usage data (login times, feature usage) to improve the product.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide the Yey service, send transactional emails (verification, alerts), improve the product based on usage patterns, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process data under the following legal bases: (a) contract — to provide the service you subscribed to; (b) legitimate interest — to improve the platform; (c) consent — for marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Data storage & transfers
All data is stored in EU-based servers (Frankfurt, Germany). We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Data retention
We retain account data as long as your subscription is active. Worker data is retained for 2 years after account termination for legal compliance purposes, then deleted. You can request deletion at any time.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccurate data, request deletion ('right to be forgotten'), data portability, and object to processing. Submit requests to privacy@yeydigital.eu. We respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Third-party processors
We use: Neon (database hosting, EU), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments), Vercel (web hosting). Each is GDPR-compliant and bound by a Data Processing Agreement.
10. Changes to this policy
We will notify you by email of material changes to this policy. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
